Illoguild Illustrator Spotlight
Q and A with Chantelle Holt
What inspires you?
I’m inspired by artists who work in traditional mediums to create detailed spreads with unique characters – David Roberts, Chris Riddell and Isabelle Follath are three of my favourites. Recently, I’ve been looking at a lot of linograph art. I love they way the medium forces artist to abstract forms in unique ways – Angela Harding and Chris Wormell are examples of two illustrators who do this masterfully.
What’s your proudest career moment?
I’ve recently been represented by Plum which was definitely a champagne moment.
What’s your dream project?
Any book with quirky, funny and humourous characters would be my bag! What are you working on?
You can see more of her work on Instagram and her Website.
